I was inspired by a blog post from Teaching Village on September 22, entitled “Teach Peace”. Written by Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto, the short article encouraged teachers to find ways to actively teach peace to their students.
This spurred an idea for me. I have since begun integrating lessons on peace in my classroom, whenever I can. This dovetailed nicely as I began teaching an adult class on my book, “Tuning In to Inner Peace: The Surprisingly Fun Way to Transform Your Life”
Here is the wikispace I’ve begun developing for the first chapter. A drawing activity, songs and videos are presented to help students explore the ideas in an interactive way that may resonate more deeply or reinforce the lessons from the book. I also include some samples of student work.

Thank you to Barbara Hoskins Takamoto! The blog she coordinates “Teaching Village” has a subtitle: “We’re better when we work together!”
Yes, I agree! Thank you!
